Today is the last day that I'll have with my sister and the Mauri family before I transfer to camp tomorrow with ACLE. I arrived safely in Milan on Tuesday afternoon, having had free seats next to me on both flights up, so slept quite a bit. Toni surprised me at the airport to pick me up and I was stoked to see a familiar face (and have someone to help carry my bags). Leaving Cape Town was a bit hectic, since my bags were overweight and I was chucking things out at the last minute, but everything chilled out once we were eating the 'two-for-one' burger special at the airport Spur!
Anyways, back to Italy - Tuesday I settled in at the Mauri's house, caught up with all of them and had a nice dinner and of course my first italian coffee at 9pm! On Wednesday, Toni, Amy and I headed into central Milan where we saw a bunch of things I hadn't seen the first time I was here. We ate some kiwis in Parco Sempione next to a castle, climbed the Duomo and took photos on the roof, ate some famous Panzerotti at Luini's and ofcourse some gelato at Cafe Cucci. Thursday and Friday were lazy days, where we dyed Amy's hair back to blonde and I cut Toni's hair. We also had a couple cycle rides and funny moments on the back of the bike...videos coming soon! Today we hung out with the kids and went to dinner at the cousin's house and tomorrow we have church in the morning and then lunch at the grandparents, before I'm off to Maleo for a one week English Camp!
Lucky fish with the free seats!! Miss you! Esp now I have a life again...
